I have imported excel sheets with media references before, No problem. I also know that the media files should be in the right place within the project’s folder. However recently when I import excel assets, it only shows the path of the image rather than the image itself. Am I missing something?
I fixed it by re-dragging the excel file from the interface asset panel. I never had to do this before, hence my confusion.

Just FYI, you were seeing a text because you had a Text Asset bound to your image path column in Excel. When you drag & drop an Excel source in a scene, if Composer detects that a field looks like an image, it will automatically create an Image Asset. If it can’t detect this, it will create a Text Asset by default.
